Ed Januszkiewicz
Mr. Januszkiewicz is an experienced workers’ compensation attorney, who believes that advocating for your client goes hand in hand with treating each client with respect and compassion. This is a belief that was ingrained in him as a child, when he would spend his summers in Peru and he heard stories about his great grandfather, sometimes even from former clients. His great grandfather was a lawyer and judge. His clients often included indigenous Kichuan Indians, and he built a reputation for being a zealous advocate and a fair-minded judge. Most importantly though, it was his great grandfather’s reputation for how he treated people, no matter who they were, that Mr. Januszkiewicz remembers most, and which led him to the practice of law. Before joining Woodruff & Johnson, Mr. Januszkiewicz previously worked for a petitioner’s firm and then eventually for a large workers’ compensation insurance carrier representing respondent/employers. His experience as a defense attorney, has not only allowed him to develop an acute sense of how respondents and their insurance companies think and operate, but also an acute awareness that more often than not, petitioners are misinformed, mislead, and underrepresented in their workers’ compensation claims. His desire to now use his experience to help the injured worker, and to advocate for the individual, is what has led him back to representing Petitioners. He is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Januszkiewicz is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Mr. Januszkiewicz earned Dean’s List honors, and was his class representative in the Student Bar Association.
