Cambios en las leyes de Comisión Industrial en Illinois

En Mayo del 2005, la Legislatura del Estado de Illinois aprobó unos cambios a las leyes de Comisión Industrial desde hace 60 años. Algunos representantes de empleados, uniones, líderes legislativos, la Comisión de Compensación a los empleados (IWCC) y la oficina del Gobernador participaron en la revisión y cambios de la legislatura. La nueva ley incluye provisiones que pueden reducir los costos a los empleadores, ajustes a los beneficios del empleado y combatir el fraude. REVISION DE UTILIZACIÓN

Un empleado puede utilizar el sistema de Revisión de Utilización para comprobar la calidad y necesidad de servicios y cuidados médicos y potencialmente los beneficios de Incapacidad.

FACTURAS PENDIENTES

Provedores médicos no podrán enviar facturas a los empleados por el balance de los cargos que no han sido pagados por la compañia aseguradora de los beneficios de compensación laboral que no han sido disputados. Los empleados son solamente responsables por los co-pagos a la aseguranza médica y los deducibles.

AUMENTO EN LOS BENENFICIOS

Las nuevas leyes aumentaron los beneficios de muerte, beneficios de entierro y de incapacidad permanente o beneficios parciales, pero no incrementa los beneficios generales.
